Many common household cleaners contain toxic solvents, fragrances,
disinfectants, and other ingredients that can pollute the air and cause
respiratory problems, skin irritations, and other negative health reactions.
What can you do?
Commitment
Making a naturally clean environment takes mindfulness for each house keeping
decision.  Your choices effect you, your house, those who live with you, the health of
your community, and even the planet.
Step one:  Open a Window and let those pollutants out as weather permits!!!!
Step two:   Stop using synthetic room fresheners and fragranced cleaning products that are
full of VOCs and other toxic chemicals. In one study published in
New Scientist in 1999, in
homes where aerosol sprays and air fresheners were used frequently, mothers experienced 25
percent more headaches and were 19 percent more likely to suffer from depression, and
infants under six months of age had 30 percent more ear infections and 22 percent higher
incidence of diarrhea.
Suggestion:  Cut down on how much
paper towels you are wasting and use
cloths to clean you home.  You can
clean and reuse your cloths over and
over again.
